    Event Description:
    On Saturday, September 12th there is going to be a “STOP THE VIOLENCE” walk, in the wake of the execution style murder, of Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy Darren Goforth. It is for all of Wharton County citizens to show support to all First Responders .
    Location:
    The walk will start at the El Campo High School parking lot at 10 am. The walk will proceed east on West Norris, Ave F, Pecan, Blossom Meyer, Webb, Meadow Lane, Hefner, Myatt, Wallace, Meadow Lane, West Norris and finish at the high school. The walk is just over 2 miles. Families, friends and First Responders are asked to participate .

    Fees/Admission:
    There is no cost or registration, just show up at 10 and walk. Drinks will be provided. All First Responder agencies in Wharton County are expected to have some personnel represented in the walk along with citizens from Wharton and surrounding communities.
